Common rose mallow, or Hibiscus 'Pyrenees Pink', should be watered once or twice a week depending on the temperature and soil conditions. If it is very hot and dry, you should water more often. In general, it is best to water deeply so the entire root system can absorb moisture. Keep in mind that soil should be allowed to dry out slightly in between watering sessions to prevent root rot. If you have a humidity tray underneath the pot, you may need to add water to that every few days. During hot weather, it is also beneficial to mist the leaves with a spray bottle every few days.

Common rose mallow (Hibiscus 'Pyrenees Pink') should be pruned annually to maintain a healthy and attractive shape. Pruning should be done in early spring before signs of new growth appear, or late winter after flowering. To do this, use secateurs to cut back any dead or damaged branches. Any leggy stems can also be cut back to just above an outward-facing bud. It is best to remove no more than 1/3 of the plant’s overall height. If pruning in autumn, trim only if the plant has become excessively large or needs tidying up before winter.
