The Okagami Japanese Maple should be watered deeply and consistently throughout the growing season. Watering should be done at least once a week (in warmer climates, twice a week is ideal). Make sure the soil is evenly moist but not soggy. The best time to water the plant is in the morning. Occasionally, water the maple more heavily to help prevent leaf burn due to over-exposure to direct sunlight.
