As a general rule of thumb, provide 1 inch of water once weekly (more frequently during periods of extreme heat or prolonged dry spells). When watering, moisten the soil thoroughly, and then allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Consider using a moisture meter to help you determine when the soil is dry enough to water again. During the colder months, reduce watering to approximately once every 2 weeks.
