Daylilies should be watered deeply once per week during their growing season. Water until it is seen draining from the bottom of the pot. The planting bed should also be kept moist but not overly wet to avoid root rot. Water in well and allow the top 1-2 inches (2.5-5 cm) of soil to dry out slightly between watering. When the weather is hot or the daylily is in full bloom, more frequent watering may be necessary. During the winter months, water the daylilies less often, only when the top 2-3 inches (5-8 cm) of soil becomes dry.

Daylilies (Hemerocallis 'Mini Pearl') should receive full sun in order to thrive and produce the best blooms. Ideally, they should be planted in an area that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day during the growing season. During the hottest summer months, some afternoon shade may be beneficial. In shadier areas, flowering may be reduced and the plants may become leggy.

Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Mini Pearl') requires very little pruning. Occasionally deadhead the blooms if desired; this will help encourage rebloom and tidy the foliage. Cut the foliage back to the ground in late fall to early spring, and it is also beneficial to divide the clumps every 3-5 years.
