When watering, it is important to thoroughly soak the soil around the roots, allowing the water to reach a depth of around 6-8 inches. In the warmer months, it is important to water more frequently as the soil can become dry quickly. During winter, the frequency of watering should be reduced to every 2-3 weeks, as this species is not as active during colder weather.
