watering

The Orienpet lily (Lilium 'Scheherazade') is a beautiful flower that loves plenty of water. During the growth and blooming season, it should be watered generously twice a week. Once the plant has stopped blooming and gone into dormancy, you should allow the top 2 to 3 inches of soil to dry out between watering cycles. Water your lily deeply and until water runs out of the bottom of the pot. Give the plant a thorough soaking to make sure the entire root ball gets soaked and that the soil is saturated with water.

sunlight

Orienpet Lily (Lilium 'Scheherazade') thrives in indirect sunlight, and will bloom best in a moderately sunny spot where it can get at least 4-6 hours of bright, indirect sunlight per day. It’s a great choice for a location that is slightly shaded, such as a porch or patio, where it gets some morning sun and then is shaded from direct sun during the peak hours of the afternoon. Orienpet Lily should receive morning light, which will be beneficial to the plant’s blooming cycle, and afternoon shade to help prevent wilting or scorching.

pruning

Orienpet lilies (Lilium 'Scheherazade') should be pruned twice a year. In the late summer or early fall, they should be cut back by at least 1 third. During this time remove any leaves that have become diseased, and deadhead any spent flowers. In the spring, prune away the spent flower stalks and any leaves that are discolored or damaged. Keep in mind that cutting back too much can reduce blooms, so prune sparingly.
