Lungwort should be watered once a week, or when the top inch of the soil is dry. The plant enjoys moist, but not soggy, soil so make sure not to over water. In the spring and summer, when temperatures are warmer, water heavily and do so often enough to keep the soil moist. In the winter, water lightly and less frequently, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings.

Lungwort (Pulmonaria 'Golden Haze') requires partial shade or dappled sunlight in order to thrive. This plant species should not be exposed to more than a few hours of direct sunlight per day, ideally no more than 4-5 hours. In the warmer summer months, it is wise to provide even less sunlight – suggesting 1 to 2 hours of direct sunlight at the most. It is important to keep in mind that for optimal growth and blooming, the plant should have a minimum amount of 4-5 hours of indirect sunlight each day.

Lungwort (Pulmonaria 'Golden Haze`) should be pruned in early spring, just before the new growth begins. Pruning should be light, removing only the dead or damaged leaves and stems. If the plant has become too dense, thinning the center can help increase airflow and light for the new growth. Pruning can also be done lightly during summer to encourage bushy, dense growth. After flowering, prune off any spent flowers.
