Rhododendron 'English Roseum' should be watered regularly, getting 1-2 inches of water per week. During the spring and summer months, water more frequently with 1 inch of water every 5-7 days. During the fall and winter months, water less often, with 1 inch of water every 10-14 days. Always check the soil before watering and water only when the top 2-3 inches of soil feel dry. Be sure to avoid overwatering and water thoroughly, allowing the water to penetrate the roots deeply.

Rhododendron 'English Roseum' plants need bright, indirect sunlight for at least 6 hours per day. When possible, they should be exposed to morning sun and protected from hot afternoon sun. While direct sunlight is not preferred for this type of rhododendron, a few hours of indirect sunlight each day is beneficial. It is important to adjust the amount of sun exposure based on the season and location of the plant, as too much sun can cause leaf burn. In winter, when the light is weaker, it is even more important to protect the plants from excessive sun exposure.

Rhododendron 'English Roseum' should be pruned in early spring, before buds begin to swell. It should be pruned just enough to remove dead, diseased, weak or crossing branches while leaving healthy buds. Depending on the size and structure of the shrub, you may need to cut branches back to just a few inches of the desired shape, thin straggly branches, and/or remove completely dead or diseased branches.
