Regal geraniums prefer moderate to frequent watering, provided the soil is allowed to dry out slightly between watering. It is best to water in the mornings or evenings so as to avoid quickly evaporating under the harsh midday sun. In general, it is recommended to water regal geraniums once a week so that the soil remains lightly moist. In hot weather, increasing watering frequency may be necessary to avoid the soil getting too dry and the plant wilting.
