Toad lilies (Tricyrtis 'Taipei Silk') should be watered regularly, approximately every 7-10 days, depending on the season and the plant's location. Water deeply and evenly, saturating the soil and allowing it to dry out slightly between waterings. When watering, be sure not to leave standing water or the crown of the plant will rot. The Taipei Silk variety prefers slightly moist soil, so avoid letting it dry out completely. In especially hot weather, feel free to increase the frequency of watering to ensure that the soil remains moist and the plant's foliage remains healthy and lush.

Toad lily (Tricyrtis 'Taipei Silk') needs bright, indirect light for optimal growth and flowering. Place the plant near a bright east- or west-facing window, as it will benefit from the morning or afternoon sun. It should receive at least 4 to 6 hours of bright, indirect sunlight a day, but avoid placing it in direct sunlight at all times. In summer months, the plant may benefit from a few hours of direct sunlight, however, it's important to not leave it in direct sunlight all day as it can cause leaf burn.

Toad lily plants (Tricyrtis 'Taipei Silk') should be pruned once a year in late winter or early spring, just before new growth begins. The amount of pruning depends on the size and vigor of the plant, but generally 1/3 of the top growth should be removed to encourage new growth. Take care to not prune more than 1/3 of the plant in any given year as this could harm the plant and prevent it from flowering. Also, take extra care to remove any dead foliage to ensure the health of the plant.
