White garland-lily needs regular watering in order to remain healthy and robust. Generally speaking, the plant should be watered every 1-2 days throughout the growing season, providing 2-4 inches of water at each watering session. You can test the moisture level of the soil by sticking your finger in up to your first knuckle; if the soil feels wet then you don’t need to water it. During the winter, water the plant once a week; however, if there’s a prolonged dry spell you may need to water more frequently.

White garland-lily is a tropical plant that needs full sun to grow well and flower. It should generally be grown in full sun during the summer months in the northern hemisphere, and should get at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight a day. It can tolerate some afternoon shade if necessary, but should not be kept in full shade, as the plant will not flower and may not even survive.

White garland-lily can be pruned throughout the growing season, starting just after the blooms begin to fade. If the plant is growing too large or becoming leggy, trim the stems back to a leaf node or to about 1/3 of their original length.
