For an Elephant’s Ear, it is important to water regularly, but not too much. Make sure to check the soil moisture at least once a week and water when the soil feels dry to the touch, typically 1-2x per week. Water thoroughly, until the soil is completely saturated, but be sure to allow the top layer of soil to dry completely in between waterings. If the plant is in a container, you may need to water more frequently, as the soil will dry out faster.

Elephant's ear (Xanthosoma 'Lime Zinger') will need full, direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours a day. During the summer months, it is best to provide them with more sunlight in the morning and afternoon, so that the plant can get some shade in the heat of the day. In the winter, it will tolerate less light, so it is important to provide the plant with as much light as possible for consistent growth.

For Elephant's Ear (Xanthosoma 'Lime Zinger'), it is best to prune in late winter or early spring, before the growing season begins. Pruning should be done by removing old flowering stalks, any dry, discolored, or damaged leaves, and any excess stems. When pruning, remove no more than 1/3 of the plant at any given time, to reduce the stress and ensure the health of the plant.
