Pride of Rochester deutzia requires regular watering in order to thrive. It is best to water this type of plant every 2-3 days in the summer, making sure the soil remains moist but not saturated. In the winter, watering should be done every 5-7 days, allowing the soil to dry out between watering. Make sure not to overwater as this can lead to root rot. The soil should be monitored and inspected to ensure the proper moisture levels.

Pride of Rochester deutzia (Deutzia scabra 'Pride of Rochester') should be positioned in full sun for optimal growth. This plant does best when it is able to receive 6 or more hours of direct sunlight each day for best bloom and overall health.
