watering

Gold Leaf Tansy should be watered moderately, about once every 10-14 days, depending on light and temperature level. Make sure the soil is adequately moist before watering again. Over-watering can cause root rot, so be sure not to water too much or too often. During the winter months, when the plant is dormant, water only rarely. A light mist with a spray bottle is sufficient for indoor specimens to keep the leaves from drying out.

sunlight

Gold Leaf Tansy thrives in full sun, with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day in order to reach its full potential. It's best to provide this amount of direct light between the hours of 10 am to 4 pm. Avoid extreme temperatures during those hours to ensure the Gold Leaf Tansy does not become heat-stressed.

pruning

Gold Leaf Tansy should be pruned once or twice a year. In late spring, prune back the new growth to encourage branching. A late summer pruning can also help control the height and shape of the plant. Prune lightly, no more than 1-third of the total height. Too much or too little pruning can result in an off-balance shape or an open center.
