Ox-eye daisy (Telekia speciosa) requires moderate amounts of water. Water weekly to keep the soil consistently moist, but avoid overwatering. Water the plant at the base of the stem and keep the leaves dry to help prevent fungal diseases. For additional growth and flowering, provide a deep watering every couple of weeks. During hot, dry periods, water more often. Water in the morning to prevent the foliage from getting wet in the evening.

Ox-eye daisy (Telekia speciosa) prefers full sun, meaning at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight exposure. This amount of sunlight is necessary in order for the plant to fully develop its blooms and reach its potential. While this species does prosper with direct sunlight, it is important to note that it also benefits from some shade in the afternoon, protecting it from extreme temperatures.
