On these days, it's important to give the plant plenty of water—enough to allow the excess to begin to drain from the bottom of the pot. When watering, be sure to water the plant at the soil level and not on the leaves. This will help to prevent making the leaves soggy or damp, which can lead to fungal diseases. If you are in an area with a hot and/or dry climate, you may need to water even more frequently, as often as every 3-4 days.
