Asiatic lily

Asiatic lilies should be watered frequently to keep the soil moderately moist. The frequency and amount of water needed will vary depending on the season and the condition of the soil. In the spring and summer months, water the lilies enough to keep the soil slightly moist but not soggy. Watering should be done more frequently during periods of high temperatures and dry weather. In the winter months, water only when the soil has dried out completely but do not provide too much water as the plant is dormant during this time. It's best to water Asiatic lilies in the morning and avoid overhead watering in order to avoid leaf spotting. Give the soil a good soaking when you water to encourage deep and healthy root development.

Asiatic lilies prefer to grow in full sun, or at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight per day for optimal growth and flowering. To ensure your Asiatic lily receives the sunlight it needs, try to strategically position it in a spot that gets direct sun during the later hours of the day. This will help the flower primarily receive full sun during the period of the day when the sun is not as hot.

Asiatic lilies should be pruned once a year, in early spring before new growth begins. To prune, cut back flower stalks to the ground after blooming and remove any dead or damaged foliage. Pruning also helps ensure the plant remains healthy and blooms more profusely. When newly planted, Asiatic lilies should be cut back to just a few inches above the soil line to encourage new growth.
