watering
Satin pothos (Scindapsus Pictus 'Argyraeus') should be watered approximately once every 7-10 days. Water enough that the soil is completely and thoroughly saturated, then allow it to dry out slightly before watering again. During the hotter months of the year, the plant may need to be watered more regularly. The amount of water needed will vary based on the plants pot size, how much light it receives, and the types of soil used. You can also use your finger to test the moisture levels of the soil before watering. If the soil feels dry about an inch down, that is an indication that the plant needs more water.
sunlight
Satin Pothos, also known by its scientific name Scindapsus pictus 'Argyraeus', prefers bright, indirect sunlight and can tolerate up to 4 to 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Place them in an east- or west-facing window for the best effect. Too little light and the plant will become leggy and weak. Too much direct sun can cause its leaves to scorch. When growing Satin Pothos indoors, they should be kept in a spot that gets at least 4 hours of bright, indirect or filtered sunlight a day. If growing Satin Pothos outside in hanging baskets, they should be placed in a spot that is partially shaded and protected from direct midday sunlight.
pruning
The satin pothos (Scindapsus pictus 'Argyraeus') is a fast-growing vine with long, arrowhead-shaped leaves with silver stripes. Pruning is important in order to keep your plant healthy and promote new growth. Generally, it is recommended to prune your satin pothos once a month in the warm months (April - October) and every 2 to 3 months during the colder months (November - March). When pruning, remove any dead or dying leaves, as well as any long stems or vines that have become unwieldy or unsightly. Pruning your satin pothos will encourage new growth and ensure your plant will look its best.
