Small-Leaved Angelica is a species of perennial herbaceous wildflower with branching hollow stems native to Europe and parts of Asia. It grows up to 4 feet tall from a central taproot, with dark green oblong to lance-shaped leaves that are finely divided and up to five inches long. In midsummer to early fall, white to pinkish-white flowers with five petals appear in umbels at the top of the stem with small disk-like fruits maturing in autumn. The entire plant is aromatic when crushed. Growing in meadows, grassy woodlands, and roadside verges, Small-Leaved Angelica is easily recognizable in spring and summer, and is an attractive choice for any garden.
