watering

Coral bells should be watered when the top inch of the soil is dry. If planted in pots, water weekly to a depth of about 10 inches as the entire potting mix should be allowed to dry out slightly between waterings. Mature Coral bells can then be watered every 2-3 weeks. In areas that are much hotter, the plants may need to be watered more frequently.

sunlight

Coral bells (Heuchera 'Hercules') will do best if they receive dappled to full sunlight for at least 4 to 6 hours per day. They should be provided with indirect light during the hottest parts of the day, such as in the morning or late afternoon. The amount of sunlight and time of day may require adjustment depending on the season and where they are located. Too much sun may scorch or burn their leaves, while too little sun will cause them to be leggy and will likely not produce blooms.

pruning

Coral bells (Heuchera 'Hercules') require minimal pruning, usually only to remove any old or dead foliage. Pruning should be done in late winter or early spring before new growth appears. To prune, simply cut off last year's foliage at the base of the plant with sharp pruning shears. You can also remove any spindly or leggy growth for a more tidy look. Avoid cutting into any live growth as this may damage the plant.
