To ensure you are providing enough moisture, check the soil 8-10 inches below the surface. If the soil is dry, water until it begins to trickle out of the pot's drainage hole. During hotter weather, more frequent watering may be necessary. In winter, provide only enough watering to keep the soil from drying out completely and stop if the foliage begins to wilt.
