Pitcher plants should be watered weekly with distilled or rain water. On most weeks, water the pot until it is soaked through and let any excess water to run out the drainage holes. Sarracenia 'Dana's Delight' should be pruned in late fall or early winter, right before the temperatures get too cold. Pruning should focus on removing dead or damaged leaves and stalks. Dead leaves can become a breeding ground for pests, so it's important to remove them. Pruning can also help the plant stay healthy by promoting new growth.
