Water your Speedwell (Veronica 'Eveline') plants regularly and deeply. Water when the top 2 to 3 inches of soil is dry. If your soil type is sandy and fast-draining, your Speedwell plants may need to be watered more frequently. Aim to water your Speedwells once a week or even more often during hot weather. Be sure to water your plants thoroughly, until water begins to run through the drainage holes in the bottom of the container. Never let your plants sit in standing water, as this can lead to root rot.

Veronica 'Eveline' speedwell is a low-growing, evergreen perennial that requires full sun for optimal growth and flowering. To ensure that this plant species receives its necessary dose of sunlight, 5 or more hours of direct sunlight each day is recommended. It is also important to note that, as with many other plants, Veronica 'Eveline' speedwell should not be exposed to direct afternoon sun as this can cause leaf scorching and wilting. Additionally, this species performs best with some shade during periods of extreme heat or during the hottest parts of the day.

Veronica 'Eveline' speedwell should be pruned in late spring. You should prune back weak and dead stems, as well as any that are growing in an irregular manner. Pruning should be kept to a minimum, and you should never prune more than 1/3 of the plant’s foliage. Pruning any more than that could cause major damage and even kill the plant. It is recommended that you lightly prune the speedwell in the spring and then re-evaluate the plant at the end of summer to determine if any additional pruning is necessary. Be sure to use sharp pruning shears when pruning and sanitize them with a rubbing alcohol solution afterwards to avoid spreading any diseases.
