watering

Hellebore (Helleborus 'Confetti Cake') should be watered once a week for about 30 minutes each watering session. Water should be poured when the soil feels slightly damp to the touch at about an inch below the soil surface or until water begins to run out of the pot at the bottom. During the winter months, the frequency of watering can be reduced to once every 2 weeks.

sunlight

Hellebore (Helleborus 'Confetti Cake') should ideally receive 4-6 hours of sunlight each day, preferably in the morning or late afternoon. Too much bright sun can cause the foliage to burn, so make sure that the location in which the plant is placed is shaded during the middle of the day. If the plant is placed in too much shade, it may not bloom as heavily as it could.

pruning

Hellebore 'Confetti Cake' should be pruned twice a year. Once in late winter before new growth appears, and again after the plants have gone dormant in autumn. When pruning in winter, carefully remove any browned or dead foliage, and any that is especially discolored or diseased. On autumn pruning, cut any overly long or dead stems back to the base of the plant. Additionally, remove any stems that have stopped producing blooms. For both prunings, use sharp bypass pruners with clean blades to avoid tearing or jagged cuts.
