Miniature roses require moderate watering, and should be watered deeply enough to keep the soil evenly moist, but not to the point of becoming waterlogged. Water the plant thoroughly at least once a week, or when the top 2 inches of soil are dry. During the summer months, when the temperatures are higher and the plant is actively growing, the frequency of watering should be increased. In the cooler winter months, reduce watering to every 10-14 days. Always check the soil before deciding to water to ensure that it is actually dry and not just cool to the touch.

Miniature rose (Rosa 'Jaccasp' HAPPY TRAILS) need to be grown in full sun for at least 6-8 hours a day to ensure healthy growth and flowering. If grown in partial shade, flowering and growth may still occur but will be less vigorous. During the summer months, it is beneficial to provide extra morning sun to this species of rose to ensure adequate growth and flowering. In the spring and autumn months, slightly less sun is necessary, but it is still important that it receives at least 6-8 hours of full sunlight per day.

Miniature roses (Rosa 'Jaccasp' Happy Trails) should be pruned in late winter or early spring, before the buds begin to appear. Pruning should be limited to removing dead, damaged, or diseased canes and any canes that cross or rub against each other. The remaining canes should be cut back to a short, stubby length of 3–4 inches and shaped in an open vase or crescent silhouette. This will encourage new canes to grow with healthy foliage. In regions that suffer from severe winters, pruning may need to be completed after the last frost for additional protection of the foliage.
