Speedwell (Veronica 'Wizard of Ahhs') should be watered when the top 2-3 inches of soil feel dry, approximately 1-2 times per week. To prevent overwatering, always check the soil before each watering. Be sure to water the plant slowly and deeply, saturating the soil and allowing it to drain completely. During winter months, reduce watering frequency. The water should only be given enough to keep the soil from completely drying out. When kept indoors, try to keep soil evenly moist, but not overly wet. Avoid misting the leaves of the plant as it can lead to fungal disease.

Speedwell also needs some afternoon shade, so it shouldn’t be placed in direct sunlight for too long. During warmer months, the plant should have access to partial sun or filtered light during the hottest part of the day, typically from 10am to 4pm.

Without removing dead stems the plant can become leggy so it's important to trim them regularly.
