Evergreen azaleas (Rhododendron 'Treasure') enjoy a moist, well-drained soil and should be watered regularly. During spring and summer, when the plant is actively growing, water it enough to keep the soil damp (but not wet) and check it regularly. During the remainder of the year, water it occasionally only when the soil is starting to dry out, allowing the plant some time in-between watering to allow the soil to dry out completely.

Evergreen azalea (Rhododendron 'Treasure') prefer brightly lit areas, but not direct sunlight. The lights should be at least 4-5 hours of bright, filtered sunlight per day. If grown outdoors, it's best to give the plant some shade during the hottest part of the day, such as taking advantage of partially shaded spots that are sheltered from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. When grown indoors, a south-facing window would be ideal for the azalea as it will get ample light from this spot. Also, be sure to check the temperature, as these flowering plants love heat and work best in warm environments.

Evergreen azaleas (Rhododendron 'Treasure') should be pruned from mid-spring to early summer. For pruning, shoot length and shape should be taken into consideration. Pruning should be done to shape the shrub and also reduce the size. Dead and damaged branches should be removed, and branches that are growing towards the center of the shrub should be cut back. Pruning should be done to allow air and sunlight to reach the entire plant. After pruning, fertilize the plant to help promote new growth.
